A useful solution starts with context.
Git becomes easier when each command has a reason. We begin with the working directory, staging area and commit history, then practice recovering and comparing changes. Branches are introduced as a way to isolate work, not as extra terminology to memorize. A small collaborative exercise covers remotes, fetch, pull, push and a pull request. We deliberately create a manageable merge conflict and resolve it together. Repository security and .gitignore belong in the curriculum from the start. The pace depends on your current experience; the goal is confident routine work, not a certificate or a promise to cover every GitHub feature.
What I can help with
- Working directory, staging and meaningful commits
- Branches, merging and conflict resolution
- Remotes, fetch, pull, push and pull requests
- Ignore rules, repository hygiene and secret awareness
Bring the problem, not a finished specification.
Share the current situation and your priorities. We’ll identify missing information together before agreeing to build.
- Your device with permission to install developer tools
- A GitHub account you control
- A sample project and your current experience level
You complete sensitive verification yourself. Never send passwords, PINs, tokens or OTPs in a message.
A clear sequence, with review built in.
- 01
Check setup and explain the three local states.
- 02
Practice commits, diffs and reviewing history.
- 03
Create a branch and resolve a small merge conflict.
- 04
Push changes and open a practice pull request.
- 05
Repeat the workflow independently and review questions.
What you receive
- A practice repository with worked examples
- A personal command reference
- Feedback on your independent workflow
The final checklist is agreed in the scope. If an external decision or dependency prevents completion, the status and the next available step are made clear.
Pricing & running costs
Sessions are quoted by the agreed curriculum and pace. This is practical instruction, without certification claims.
Before starting, we agree what is included, who pays third-party charges and what would require a revised quote. No fixed price or processing timeline is assumed.
Important limitations & privacy
Training does not cover every enterprise feature. Real production repositories should not be used for risky practice or contain exposed secrets.
Only necessary information is requested for the agreed task. Sharing, access and document retention are discussed before handling sensitive material. Read the privacy notes.
Before you get in touch
Do I need coding experience?
A small project helps, but beginners can learn the workflow with simple text files.
Will we cover conflicts?
Yes. A controlled example demonstrates how to inspect and resolve conflicting changes.
Do you provide a certificate?
No certification is claimed. The outcome is practical experience and a reference workflow.
