A useful solution starts with context.
A launched website still needs someone to notice an expired certificate, a broken form or an update that changes a page. Maintenance starts with an inventory of the site, its dependencies and the people responsible for each account. I can help with content edits, backups, security patching, uptime checks and troubleshooting within an agreed scope. A monthly arrangement should specify included work, request channels and exclusions rather than imply unlimited availability. For an incident, restoring a known backup may be more appropriate than changing code immediately. The first review identifies what can be maintained safely and what needs a separate repair project.
What I can help with
- Content edits and dependency updates
- Backup checks and restoration planning
- SSL renewal guidance and hosting troubleshooting
- Scoped uptime checks and monthly support
Bring the problem, not a finished specification.
Share the current situation and your priorities. We’ll identify missing information together before agreeing to build.
- Website URL and a description of the issue
- Hosting and repository ownership details
- Known backups and securely arranged access
You complete sensitive verification yourself. Never send passwords, PINs, tokens or OTPs in a message.
A clear sequence, with review built in.
- 01
Audit the current site and its dependencies.
- 02
Agree support scope, exclusions and responsibilities.
- 03
Create or review a recovery plan.
- 04
Apply approved changes and verify affected journeys.
- 05
Record work and explain any further repair needed.
What you receive
- A defined maintenance or repair scope
- Change records and recovery guidance
- Optional recurring support arrangement
The final checklist is agreed in the scope. If an external decision or dependency prevents completion, the status and the next available step are made clear.
Pricing & running costs
One-off work or a monthly retainer is quoted after review. Host bills, licences and work outside the agreed allowance are separate.
Before starting, we agree what is included, who pays third-party charges and what would require a revised quote. No fixed price or processing timeline is assumed.
Important limitations & privacy
No promise of uninterrupted uptime or unlimited support. Older code may need a rebuild. Backup frequency, retention and response expectations must be agreed explicitly.
Only necessary information is requested for the agreed task. Sharing, access and document retention are discussed before handling sensitive material. Read the privacy notes.
Before you get in touch
Is maintenance unlimited?
No. The agreement defines included tasks and how additional work is quoted.
Can you recover a broken site?
I review backups and access first; recovery depends on what remains available.
Do you pay my host bills?
Hosting stays in your account. Payment and renewal responsibilities are agreed separately.
